Fluid thermodynamics for process engineering. Thermodynamic properties computation of pure components and mixtures. Phases equilibrium computation. Understanding of the models (Equation of states and mixing rules) included in simulation tools.

Thermodynamics diagrams.

Pure components properties: equations of state for gases and liquids, fugacity, residual properties, phases equilibrium

Mixtures and solutions: ideal solutions and real solutions, gaseous mixture and condensed solutions, mixing rules, specific equation of state.

Modern equation of states: free excess enthalpy models, association, CPA, SAFT.

Use of thermodynamics software.

Personal project  in spare time (thermodynamics properties computation of a specific pure component)

Oral examination: analysis of a scientific published paper.
