Study of transfer mechanisms: mass, heat and momentum transfers dynamics in laminar and turbulent flows.

Physics and equations of mass transfer mechanisms : molecular diffusion (Fick’s law), mass transfer with convection, interfacial transfer (model of double film and penetration), theory of boundary limit; transfers with change of phases (boiling, condensing, evaporation)

Heat and momentum transfer reminders

 

Similarities and analogies methods (Reynolds analogy, Chilton Colburn Analogy) between mass, heat, and momentum transfers.

 

Written exam at the end of the semester (2h)

Literature review report.
