Study of the main applications of radioactivity and nuclear chemistry.

Fundamental reminders of NUC1, nuclear medicine, atomic batteries, analyze (main methods + activation), isotopic effects (exchange, separation, enrichment,…), cycle of the water on Earth, heavy water, datings (young and old ages, atmosphere, paleo-thermometers,…), effects of the radiations (radiolyse and degradation of materials), radioprotection, dosimetry, shielding, mechanisms in chemistry, atomic propulsion and micro-reactors, military applications, synthesis of artificial elements and the island of stability.

1 written examination (3 hours) at the end of the semester.
